Tim Howe's '71 Cutlass

I bought the car in february 1983,it was grey primer and had seen it's better days but was still running. thru the years it was my only transportation, and held up good with a lot of miles put on it!
I was able to buy another car and park the cutlass to start work on it. the body has new quarters, fenders, and perfect doors. I found good bumpers and ram air hood plus a wing. the insides are #24 blue with tilt sport wheel, buckets, and hurst duel gate. the drivetrain cost the most, starting with the motor.

455 bored 30 over,10.25 pistons, polished rods, ARP rod bolts, polished crank, oil restrictor kit, high volume oil pump, w-30 cam on a108 lobe separation, harland sharp roller rockers,KA ram air heads with engle valve springs, heddman hedders, edelbrock performer intake, reworked 750 holley, HEI with hypertech coil, accel module and 300+wires. transmission is a turbo 350 with a turbo action manual valve body, 3500 stall and deep pan. the rear end is a12 bolt chevy 391 posi track. and of course the exhaust is flowmaster. the rims are 15-5s on front and 15-10 on back with 29-12.5s mickeys up in the quarters.
so far it's ran 8.30 in the 1/8 mile.

The car does sit in a garage but we do take it on road trips a lot or go cruising just about every weekend. I've had all kinds of other cars but manage to stick with this one for some reason!
