Jeff Parcell's '72 Cutlass Convertible
My name is Jeff Parcell, and this is my 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible. It is a numbers matching car, and it's all stock. Just the way Oldsmobile intended it. A Rocket 350 makes up the power plant, with a Turbo Hydramatic 350 to do the shifting.
It also has power steering, power brakes, power trunk release, sport mirrors, sport steering wheel, SSII (cast gray) wheels, and a hood lock. The car is flame orange in color, with a black convertible top, and black interior. I have not seen any 72's with that color scheme. Even at 98 nationals, or in Lansing for the 100th birthday celebration. All original documentation is still with the car. This includes the Protect-O-Plate, build sheet, window sticker, and all warranty information. The car, also still has the original selling dealer sticker on the trunk lid.
The car has had only minor restoration. It has recieved a new top, front seat cover, the engine compartment has been re-detailed, along with the trunk interior. The rear springs have been replaced along with all four shocks. All chrome, and stainless trim remains untouched. Since I'm big on originallity all of the above was done to Olds specifications.
I drive the car to any car show that I attend. It has 78,000 original miles on it, and runs and drives as if it were new. It's a very fun car to have and enjoy.
If anyone owns, or knows of someone who owns a Cutlass, or 442 convertible of the same color scheme. Please e-mail me. I would like to hear about it, and see what part of the country, or world they are in.
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about my car.
Good luck with your Olds, or finding the Olds of your dreams.
