Peter Landowski's '72 442 Convertible
It is a REAL 442 but NOT a real W-30. Complete frame-up restoration. Painted
medium-quasar blue with white stripes and white interior.
Power windows, bucket seats, dual-gate, sport steering wheel, tilt column,
power brakes, front disc brakes, cutout rear bumper, Ram-Air hood.
Olds 455 motor with bracket-ported C heads, Edelbrock Performer intake,
Holley 930cfm carb, 7 qt. pan, ARP bolts, Mondello parts. Hooker headers
with a 3" exhaust with Dynomax Race Magnum mufflers.
A 2004R trans sits behind the motor (built by Buick GN 2004R specialist
Bruce Toelle in Sacramento, California). Equipped with a lockup torque
converter. Chevy 12 bolt 3.73 gear.
Rear suspension: Boxed Lower Southside Machine Lift Bars, Tubular
upper control arms, KYB shocks, 1 3/8" rear sway bar.
Front suspension: 1 1/4" front sway bar, KYB shocks, complete front-end
Car ran a 12.10 @ 110.5MPH with BF Goodrich Drag Radials.
Car weighs 3900LBS WITH driver.
Highway RPMs = 65MPH @ 2200RPM
