Keith Moore's '65 Cutlass and Starfire

I bought the 65 Cutlass in 1990 in Florida from the original owner and drove it home to Canada on Memorial Day weekend. It spent its first year here enjoying the summer but hit the shop in October. I spent 8 months doing the resto on her using as many NOS parts as I could locate over the winter with trips to Carlisle,PA and to several yards in Florida.

I received lots of help from the OCA as well and several of its members. It is painted its original two colors -Ocean Mist and Artic white with a parchment interior, it has PS,PB, 330 4V, 2 speed Jetaway, console, buckets, a/c, clock, radio with rear speaker, power trunk, power antenna, parking brake light, backup lamps, dual exhaust and wire wheel covers. It had 92,864 miles when purchased and I have since put another 16,450 on it since the restoration. It has held up well. Fun to drive and cruise in. We even took in the Lansing 100th Anniversary and she performed flawlessly."

I found this car in one of the auto publications and it was located in Chicago. After a couple of calls to the owner we decided it was worth a weekend trip to the windy city to have a look. We went in May of 1997 and after much looking and talking came to an agreed up deal. The next trip was to go and get her. Well I drove it 765 miles home without any problems whatsoever and spent all last summer using it as a daily driver and weekend cruiser. The car came totally loaded. A/C,P Seats,P Vents, P Windows, P Locks, Cruise, AM/FM rear reverb, P Trunk, P Antenna,Tilt, Deluxe Belts, Clock,Console and buckets, tinted glass, and more. The great thing about the car is that it was all original except for the new paint and in wonderful shape. Anyway it is in the shop and will soon be coming out like new. As I did with the Cutlass the Starfire will have a total frame-off resto with all the NOS parts I can find.
